John Robins: Hot Shame at Komedia

Stay in Bath > News > Event > John Robins: Hot Shame at Komedia

The multi award-winning comedian returns to Komedia Bath on 21st November with his brand new show, Hot Shame!

Komedia Bath and Phil McIntyre Entertainments are delighted to announce that John Robins, winner of the lastminute.com Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2017 and co-host of The Elis James and John Robins Show on Radio X, will return to Komedia Bath this November with a brand new show, Hot Shame.

After 2018’s critically lauded, sell-out smash The Darkness of Robins, John has gained a reputation as a stand-up for finding humour in our bleakest moments. Expect soul-bearing, self-lacerating, piping-hot shame!

John has a string of TV appearances to his name, including the likes of Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), Mock the Week (BBC Two), 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave), and many, many more.

Speaking about his new tour, John Robins said: I have decided to climb the rope out of John’s Shame Well to travel the country with stories of “Hot Shame”. Conveniently I already had a 44-date pub crawl in the diary, and my agents suggested I combine it with shows at regional arts centres and theatres. After some long, and, at times, quite heated discussions about remuneration, I agreed.”

“My last tour ‘The Darkness Of Robins’, was done completely alone, and whilst this saved countless tens of pounds on Travelodges, it had a quite startling impact on my mental health. So, in 2019 I will be bringing along friend and comrade ‘The Lovely’ Robin Allender to provide support. He will be sharing his own hot takes on, not only shame, but remorse, regret and nostalgia.”

Tickets will be available from 10am on Friday 1st February from Komedia Bath’s Box Office online, via phone, or in person.
